Relentless
A gripping brand film for The Washington Post that shows the reporting behind a single investigation instead of just promoting the headline. It's built entirely from the story's own materials: the anonymous tip email, redacted text messages, court filings, camera technical drawings and maps. Everything is styled in a strict black, white and red palette with the paper's editorial serif, so it feels like an extension of the journalism rather than an ad. The pace is relentless to match the name, though a lot of documents fly past too quickly to read, and a couple of held moments would let the evidence land harder. There's no shoot, just a strong archive of reporting material and weeks of motion design. It's built for brand building, awards entries and social, and it's very shareable.
